Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my holiday highlights. Every ornament has a story and I try to artfully place each one in just the right spot on the Christmas tree.
This year I switched up some of the ornaments we display. It made the big holes in between the some of the branches of our Christmas tree more noticeable. Instead of running to the store to buy bigger ornaments, I ran to the garage and grabbed the Holiday Duck Brand® Tape
Let's Duck the Halls!
No, silly, I'm not going to tape the holes in my tree together. I'm going to use the Duck Brand® Holiday designs (Seasonal Sweets, Snowmen, Holiday Bows, and Penguin) to make stars to fill the gaps in my Christmas tree.
Duck Brand® loves it when people get creative with Duck Tape. Duck Brand® is always happy to see people pinning their Duck Tape projects on Pinterest. Make sure you include #DuckTheHalls in your pin to make sure everyone will see your project!
Duck Tape Holiday Prints (check them out here!)
Thin cardboard like this (cereal or pasta boxes work great for this project!)
Scissors
Ruler
Craft knife (this craft knife with a precision grip is my favorite for paper crafting)
Disclosure: I am including affiliate links for your convenience.
Make it:
1. Cut five long diamond shapes from the recycled cardboard box.
2. Using the ruler as a guide, score the center of each cardboard star point with the craft knife.
3. Fold the star points in half at the score line.
4. Wrap a small piece of Duck Brand® Tape around the tip of each star point and trim the excess tape if
needed.
5. Continue covering the star points in Duck Brand® Tape.
6. Arrange the star points into a five pointed star shape. Tape the star points together with Duck Brand® Tape while covering the remaining cardboard areas in Holiday Duck Brand® Tape.
7. Trim your tree and admire your work!
