Green #Brita BacktoCollege Shopping

Mr. 2 of 10 has basic back to school supplies for his classes and most of the fun stuff for his dorm room like a killer sound system. He still could use a few things to make dorm room life a little easier, cheaper, and greener. Specifically, I wanted to get the kid his choice of either a Brita® Space Saving filtered water pitcher or a filtering Brita® Hard-Sided Water Botttle available at Target.

I need to buy one of these when I visit my mom. I don't drink her tap water when I visit because it has a funny after taste. After a couple of days of drinking everything but water I feel like a slug.

Why? Well, first off, I don't want my soon to be starving student to clog up the world with empty water bottles and waste his money on something he can drink for a whole lot less from the tap in his dorm room.  I have to admit I got  into the drinking water habit during my dorm room days for that that reason.

Also, I'm feeling  a little nostalgic. I got my Brita® pitcher when I was in college to filter impurities because that city's water has a strange aftertaste just like Mr. 2 of 10's city water does.  Yuck.

Mr. 2 of 10 and I decided to buy the Brita® Space Saver Pitcher because it more versatile. He can use it to fill the water bottle he already has with filtered water for on the go, use it to make massive amounts of better tasting coffee for studying, and the Space Saver's footprint takes up less room in a tiny dorm room refrigerator. No refrigerator Jenga for this kid! Not to mention, he can use it when he moves into his first apartment.
